If you’re thinking about New Year’s resolutions -joining a networking group should be near the top of the list.
Networking can bring some very real benefits.
I started about 10 years ago and today all of my business comes by referral from a network made up of professional advisors and clients for whom I’ve worked referring me on to their own family and friends.
In my time networking I’ve benefitted from meeting some great people some of whom have remained friends and/or good contacts over a number of years..
Anyone thinking of trying out networking should search around and attend a few different groups – but make sure to attend a CBC meeting as CBC is one of the best options around!
These clinics, run within the group on an easy going, informal, basis, can be a great way of generating ideas for anyone looking for ideas on dealing with a particular problem in their business – or for more general thoughts on business development.
Well worthwhile for any small to medium sized business -and would probably help some larger businesses as well!
Good to see membership of the group continuing to grow – and diversify.
A broader range of expertise makes the group that much more useful as a source of support for those of us in business that don’t know everything and benefit from being able to draw on the talents of others.
Today we had a presentation fromTake One TV that put video into proper context.
Good relevant video content can make so much difference to how people engage with a website – driving up the amount of time spend there and increasing conversion rates.
This is Take TV’s area of specialism and it’s this kind of presentation that makes CBC so worthwhile.
It was good to see so many people at our ‘visitor day’ on September 12th
Another set of great presentations.
Anyone looking at this website who isn’t a current member needs to know that they can come along to any of our meetings.
We welcome visitors at any time – you don’t have to wait for another ‘visitor day’ – just come along.
Tuesday May 30th is one of the rare Tuesdays that we won’t be meeting. The day after a Monday Bank Holiday is never a good time to have a breakfast meeting!!
We’ll be bouncing back next week June 6th (73rd anniversary of D Day as it happens) all the fitter for our layoff………
On March 21st – spring equinox – we’re having an open morning giving people the opportunity to find out more about networking in general – and CBC in particular.
For many starting up in business networking is a big unknown. Our approach at CBC is to provide all the good things about networking while dispensing with the undesirable things like hefty regimentation and high costs.
Well worth a visit to find out!
On March 21st we’re inviting along people to find out something more about networking. This is a great opportunity for people who are new to networking to find out at first hand what this is all about.
For some it’ll be a whole new experience – for others perhaps a different ‘take’ on how networking can work. All too often network groups are very regimented and can easily put off people who might otherwise benefit.
At CBC we pride ourselves on the quality of support that members make available to each other. Well worth a try for anyone interested in how networking can play a role in building their business
Helen’s presentation today gave us a new perspective on how to improve results through effective and thoughtful management.
Creating environments that help people to make the most of their talents shouldn’t be the preserve of Google, Facebook and the like. Businesses of all types and sizes can help themselves perform better by creating environments that encourage engagement.
Luke Hatt made a great presentation on the kinds of security measures his firm can provide.
Master locksmiths are no longer just about cutting keys or getting you in when you’re locked out of your home or your car (although these are very useful services!!) it’s now about all sorts of security enhancements like alarms and CCTV that can help protect what matters to us
